It's been a long process and so much has taken place along the way. Let's get you caught up to speed shall we?...


At the end of 2010, Dimitri was able to sell his portion of the granite fabrication company he spent the previous two years building from the ground up. It was a grand establishment with a showroom in a prime location filled with slabs of granite sparkling in the sun beating through the store front windows. There were designated sections for kitchen and/or bathroom designs in variations to the liking of any taste. He also managed the fabrication shop, located close by, where his employees where hard at work cutting and configuring the massive stones to personal taste and style and cutting exact measurements for a custom and complete counter top. 


It was a leap of faith selling Mr Granite, leaving the business behind in the hands of someone that would be responsible to take over, and continuing on his journey. He knew he wanted to start up a company that was involved heavily in natural stone and he was not only fortunate to find a business worth diving head-first into, but also a company and corporation that is backed by businessmen just as strong as the stone they restore. 


Now, if anyone knows these fellas, you'd know certainly that they are some of the most pleasant and nicest people to encounter. We had spoke over the phone on several occasions but finally being able to meet up with them, share a handshake and get down to talking business was great; that time being @ the 2011 Stone Expo in Vegas was even grander. The other members of GNS made Dimitri; and partner Ashley; immediately feel like part of a family (the stone family) and they couldn't have been more pleased.


Since then, Ashley and Dimtiri have been working very hard to set up shop to hit the ground running. It's taken some time, some elbow grease, some income and some gained knowledge to get to the point they are now, ie: Open for Business


We are very pleased to announce that Great Northern Stone of Omaha is up and running in the Great Plains region and we look forward to providing restoration services to Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado and surrounding areas we can get to in due time to assist with any natural stone including (but not limited to) granite, marble, and terrazzo, tile, or concrete polishing and restoration.


Although independently owned and operated by JnV Corporation, Great Northern Stone of Omaha has a close- knit relationship with the GNS locations located in Dallas, Chicago, Ontario and we feel we're a great fit to the stone restoration family.


We also feel we've got a good team to work with and great mentors to assist with us building a solid (as stone) business here in the Midwest.
